Admissions Requirements
To ensure a diverse, talented, and committed student body, we have established a set of admissions requirements. These criteria not only highlight your academic achievements but also consider your professional experiences, personal growth, and potential contributions to the Weinberg community. Here are the key elements of your application that we’ll be looking at:
Education
Submit your academic transcripts from an accredited bachelor’s degree at an internationally recognized institution.
Experience
A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated work experience in your chosen field.
Online Application
Complete the online application form accurately, including all requested information.
Application Essay
How will you leverage your MBA to help make the world better for someone else (your organization, the environment, your customers, or even your family)?
Two References
Provide two professional or academic references who can attest to your potential for success in our MBA program.
Application Fee
The application fee is CHF 150. Instead of paying the school, you may make a donation to one of our selected charities.
English Proficiency
If English is not your first language, demonstrate your English proficiency through 3 years of educational or professional experience in English or a recognized test (TOEFL, IELTS, etc.).
GMAT Scores
(Optional): You may choose to submit GMAT scores as a supplement if you wish to highlight your quantitative and analytical skills. However, submission of these scores is entirely optional and non-submission will not adversely affect your application.

The Admissions Process
Admissions at Weinberg is more than just an application process; it’s an opportunity for mutual discovery. We strive to ascertain if you’re a match for us and, just as crucially, if we’re the right choice for you. Despite our selective admissions rate, averaging between 37% and 52%, our on-time graduation success rate consistently surpasses 92%.
Our mission isn’t simply to evaluate your eligibility for entry—it’s to ensure you have the potential to proudly walk out as a successful Weinberg graduate!

1. Submit your application online
You can complete your application and all supporting materials online. As soon as you submit your application, you’ll be assigned an independent admissions advisor who will help you obtain and submit all the necessary materials, get your references, and guide you through the process.
It’s important to note that we encourage you to have open discussions with your advisor — we all applied for programs before too, and know how stressful it can be — so you have full confidentiality with your advisor.
2. Initial review
Once your packet is complete, your admissions advisor will present it to the committee. Two faculty members will review your application and determine if you have the potential for success in the MBA program. If so, they will ask your advisor to schedule the interview.
This stage normally takes a week, but just know that it can be a bit longer if the faculty are on an excursion, grading final exams, or on holiday.
3. Interview
Your admissions advisor will help you find a time for the interview. It’s roughly an hour and is done on campus. If you don’t live in the area, we can arrange a remote interview. We try our best to make sure your interviewer is a faculty member with whom you have not interacted.
So what’s it like? Well, it’s our chance to make sure you know what you’re signing up for. We want to know that you understand the committment required to successfully complete our MBA program. You know that with us, you’re not just going to sit in the back of a classroom, memorize a textbook, and regurgitate answers on a standard exam. Oh no. You know that you’ll be actively engaged with the faculty, your peers, and the material.
And we want to make sure that you’re going to leverage your MBA into making a postive impact. We put a great deal of effort into every one of our graduates, and we love knowing that we’re doing it for the right reasons.

4. Admissions Board
The Admissions Board meets 2 times per month during the academic year and once per month during the summer. They will review your application and the interview notes, and will then assess your potential for success in the MBA program. The decisions are anonymous and in the event of an even tie, an additional faculty member is asked to make an additional assessment.
Once the Admissions Board has completed its review, you will be sent their decision within 2 business days.
5. Acceptance
Congratulations! Your advisor will send you a welcome pack that has information on the enrollment process, getting a student visa (if necessary), accessing your online account, getting a student ID, and all the other administrative steps that need to be completed before your first day.
