Tuition and Fees

Fees are reviewed every July; however, they may be subject to change at any time.

Payments

All fees are in Swiss Francs. Payment can only be made in this currency. Any bank / currency conversion charges are not covered by the school.

First-Time Registration and Enrollment Policies

All students must pay a registration fee of CHF 2,000 within 30 days of acceptance of receiving their acceptance letter, which will ensure a place in the selected program. This amount will be deducted from the total school fees.

For domestic students, fees must be paid prior to the start of the term, unless a payment plan is approved by the school and signed by the student.

For international students, fees must be paid at least six weeks prior to the start of the term. Please note that depending on the student’s country of origin, the immigration department may require earlier or full payment.

First-time students who cancel their registration 2 months or more prior to the start of the term are entitled to a full refund of tuition fees minus the registration fee which will be kept as a lump sum indemnity according to article 160 of the Swiss Obligations Code.

First-time students who cancel their registration between 1 and 2 months prior to the start of the term are entitled to a 50% refund of tuition fees minus the registration fee which will be kept as a lump sum indemnity according to article 160 of the Swiss Obligations Code.

First-time students who cancel less than 1 month prior to the start of the term or during the term are not entitled to a refund.

Students who cancel prior to the start of the term due to visa refusal are entitled to a full refund of tuition fees minus the registration fee which will be kept as a lump sum indemnity.

Students who cancel prior to the start of the term due to documented medical reasons may transfer their tuition fees to a future semester.

First-time students may defer the start of their studies prior to the beginning of the term for up to one year from acceptance. Full tuition fees paid will be transferred to the next term; however, the student will have to pay the new published school fees. Students who decide to cancel their enrollment are not entitled to a refund and the tuition fees paid will be kept as lump sum indemnity.

Returning Student Registration Policy

For returning students, fees must be paid prior to the start of the term, unless a payment plan is approved by the school and signed by the student.

Depending on the student’s country of origin, the immigration department may not allow international students to participate in a payment plan.

Withdrawal Policy

Students who withdraw during the term are not entitled to a refund.

Students who withdraw during the term due to documented medical reasons may transfer their unused prorated tuition fees to a future semester.

If a student is expelled for any reason, no refund will be processed and the full fees paid are kept as a lump sum indemnity.

Sponsor Policy

Students who are not paying their own tuition fees are responsible for informing the persons in charge of doing so (hereafter called “Sponsor”) of the school’s policies. The student is also responsible of transmitting all financial related matters to the Sponsor. BSB assumes no liability if the student does not inform the Sponsor.

The Sponsor commits to paying the student’s tuition, fees, and charges.

The Sponsor agrees to the terms and conditions stated in this document.
Jurisdiction

The legal relationships between BSB, the student, and any Sponsor are governed by Swiss law.

Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Basel, Switzerland.

Miscellaneous

BSB reserves the right to alter dates, fees, curriculum or class hours without prior notice.

BSB reserves the right to use all images, videos and testimonials produced by the student (individually or within a group) for the purpose of marketing and promotion, online and offline on a global scale. The agreement is irrevocable, worldwide and perpetual and is binding upon the student’s heirs and assigns.

BSB reserves the right to disclose progress reports to the guardian, sponsor or appointed representative when it is considered beneficial to the student’s progress.
